The first Eastern European Tunnelling Conference (EETC) will take place in Budapest on September 18-21 2012. Organised by the Hungarian Tunnelling Association, the event is fully endorsed by the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES).The event’s organiser stated: “The common aim of EETC 2012 is to share our experiences and exchange our knowledge of design, construction management, research results and technical developments in tunnels completed by regional associations and experts.”
Spread over two and a half days, the conference will aim to provide a forum to discuss current practice, tunnelling trends and research, as well as provide a setting for conducting new business and professional relationships.
One of the highlights of the conference will be a technical visit (on the third day) to the almost completed Szent Gellért tér station under the River Danube.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is February 20, notification of acceptance will be received by March 20, while completed papers should be submitted by April 20.
